Florinda "Flo" Fay Clark

Florinda Fay "Flo" Clark of Merrill, Michigan 

Beloved mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at the Toni & Trish House in Auburn. She was 53 years old. Florinda Fay Ornelas was born on August 19, 1970, in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Rudy M. and Elida (SanMiguel) Ornelas. She was a proud 1988 graduate of Merrill High School. While in high school, she took classes at the COC in graphic arts. Following graduation, Flo began working at the Saginaw News. She later went to ATS Printing where she worked as an embroider embroidering clothing. The role of her lifetime, one she treasured and cherished above all others, was to be a loving and devoted mother. Flo was of the Catholic Faith and when her health permitted attended St. John XXIII Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church for many years. She enjoyed playing softball, but her little piece of heaven was spending time with her beloved family. Flo will forever be remembered as a kind, caring, and loving soul who was devoted to her children, family, and friends. 

Surviving are a son and a daughter: Robert J. Clark of Hemlock; Samantha Clark of Merrill; four siblings: Orlando R. Ornelas, Hector M (Diana) Ornelas, Rudy R. Ornelas, Jr., Marlisa (Steve) Brindley; a nephew and two nieces: Nick Casella, Julie C. Ornelas, Angelena Brindley. Also surviving are many cousins, extended family, and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudy M. and Elida Ornelas; and a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Ornelas. Honoring Florinda's wishes, cremation has taken place. 

A Memorial Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at St. John XXIII Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 445 S. Midland St., Merrill, MI, 48637. Rev. Fr. Michael F. Steltenkamp, S.J. will officiate. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 125 E. Saginaw St., Merrill, Michigan, 48637, on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
