Felix James Escareno of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper. He was 80 years old. Felix James Escareno was born on October 31, 1945, in Bay City, Michigan to the late John and Susie (Garcia) Escareno. He proudly attended Arthur Hill Technical High School. While at work, he met the love of his life, Martha M. Nentwig. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on July 12, 1995, at Trout Lake Resort in Grand Marais, Minnesota; she survives him. Felix was employed as a supervisor with General Motors – Grey Iron Foundry, retiring in 2004 with over 41 years of loyal and dedicated service. The role of his lifetime was to be a loving and dedicated husband. Felix, an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and spending time at his property up north. He also enjoyed working with leather, creating whatever he felt inspired to make. Felix will forever be remembered for being a loving and caring spirit, for selflessly putting others before himself, preparing meals while spending time with family and friends, and for truly living an amazing life filled with many beautiful memories and stories.
Surviving is the love of his life of 47 years, Martha M. Nentwig-Escareno of Saginaw; daughter, Lisa Escareno of Saginaw; daughter-in-law, Stephanie (Rusty) Waver; three grandchild, Brent (Heather) Escareno, Trevor (Stephanie) Escareno, Abigail Escareno; five great-grandchildren: Liam, Aubrey, Blake, Natalie, and Elizabeth; sister, Susan Escareno of SC; special nephew, Brian (Amy) Raymond and their children, Jonathan and Keaton Raymond.
