Eugenia Annie Juister

Eugenia “Annie” Juister
Saginaw, Michigan
A loved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022, with family and her beloved cat “Prinnie” by her side.
Annie had an iron will and led a full and interesting life. She loved to travel and visited many parts of the world with her mother, Nana. Her favorite places included Greece, Turkey, a Panama Canal cruise, and a Disney cruise with her daughters and grandchildren.
She graduated with a teaching degree from Lock Haven University in Elementary Education and taught for many years. After raising Kym and Stephanie, she decided to go back to school and obtained a Master’s degree from Western Michigan University in Speech Pathology. She enjoyed her second career and loved her patients as much as they loved her.
She also loved decorating (and redecorating!) and was an accomplished artist. Her favorite medium was oil painting. She painted beautiful landscapes of places she traveled; her eye for detail was unmatched. One of our family favorites is a painting of a church with a multitude of blue tones.
Annie was the oldest child of Lillian (Johnson) and Robert Hunter of Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. She is survived by her daughter Kym (Robert) Whitley, their son Hunter, and her daughter Stephanie (Jim) Duggan and their children Danielle, Anderson (AJ) and Stephen. She is also survived by her twin brothers, William (Gail) and Robert (Beverly) Hunter, and their children Daniel and Bobbe’ Jean. All are blessed to have known Oma (as she loved to be called). She taught all of us the value of hard work, never giving up, and the beauty of living for each present moment.
