Euella Jean Myers Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Covenant-Harrison. Age 87 years. The daughter of the late Linda (Murray) and Carl Gibbs was born August 9, 1927 in Walker, Michigan. She married Joseph W. Myers, December 31, 1970. He passed away May 18, 2004. Jean was a beautician, owning and operating her own shop in Edwardsburg, Michigan. She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church and loved to knit, crochet, sew, and cook. She enjoyed watching the birds and playing euchre. Surviving are two sons, one daughter and their spouses, Charles (Rusty) and Barbara Van Marter; Kim and Teresa Van Marter; Lynda Myers Thorpe and her husband, Dennis; 4 grandchildren, Tracy Aldrich and her husband, Robert; Joseph Van Marter; Dana McClure; Andrew Van Marter; 3 great grandchildren, Brittany Aldrich; Nathan and Alex McClure; a sister, Ann Garner; a sister-in-law, Nancy Armstrong; several nieces and nephews. A son, Greg Allen Myers, a sister, Nita Hagan, and 4 brothers, Robert, Nelson, Friend, and Keith (Pete) Armstrong have predeceased her. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 18, 2015, at Ascension Lutheran Church, 8695 Gratiot Rd. Saginaw. Pastor Julie Bailey will officiate. Burial will be in the East Fork Cemetery, Barryton, MI. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday and then at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Monday until the time of the funeral service.
