Estella Andrea Becerra

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend went to be with the Lord on April 16, 2023, at the age of 74 years.

Estella was born on October 22, 1948, in Brownsville, TX. Her parents Andrea and Cristobal preceded her in death. Estella and her family relocated to Hemlock in her early childhood.

Estella was employed as a sign language interpreter for the Saginaw School District for many years. Here she worked with many different students helping them to complete their education. She also was able to use her trilingual gift by working with migrant children during the summer months. Her favorite past times were crocheting, knitting, and cross-stitching gifts for people. She most especially cherished her miniature garden, spending time with her and Richard's family, and being able to celebrate the accomplishments of her grandchildren.

Estella is survived by her children: Tina (Robert) Cook, Bill (Dawn) Theaker, her grandchildren: Lindse (Ryan), Megan and Ryan, Her great-grandchildren: Wyatt and Dellah. A very special friend Richard (Dick) Schafer. Her siblings Jose (Jaye) Garcia, Maria G. Becerra, and Jesse R. Becerra. Several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Besides her parents, Estella was preceded in death by nieces Yvonne Rundell and Andrea M. Guerra.

Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service to honor her life will be held on May 12^th. Friends and Family will be received at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N Miller Rd. Friday May 12th, 2023. from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a short prayer service at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
