Eric Mark Garcia, Sr.

Loving son, grandson, brother, uncle, and father passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2023, in Saginaw, Michigan, at the age of 42. Eric was born on June 21st, 1981, in Saginaw, to parents Christine Garcia and Mark James, and received his high school diploma from Benito Juarez. In his free time, Eric was a sociable and friendly man who enjoyed playing cribbage and dominos. He loved listening to music, especially hip-hop and Tejano, and watched crime and thriller movies. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his friends and family. He is remembered as being happy, funny, and outgoing, with a big heart and a kind soul. He was a devote Christian and a man of prayer. Eric was always there to support his friends and family and was very attentive to their needs. He will be greatly missed by many.

Eric is survived by mother Christine Garcia and stepfather Ronnie Humpert; father Mark James and fiancé Suzie Kennedy; children Eric Garcia, Jr., and Layla Garcia; sister Angelica Garcia and fiancé Nathan; brother Mark James, Jr.; grandmother Alice James; niece Marissa Chacon; nephew Reymundo Chacon, Jr.; great-niece Luciana Jones; and great-nephew Aliwishus Jones; as well as many aunts, uncles, other family members, and countless Friends.

Eric was preceded in death by grandparents Felix and Mary Ann Garcia and Edward James; and aunts Linda Ann Garcia, Linda Glowacki, Sandy James, Valorie James

A memorial Service for Eric will take place at 2:00pm on Saturday, August 12th, 2023, at W.L. Case & Company Funeral Home, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Saginaw, with Pastors Adolfo Martínez & Erlinda Martínez officiating. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 12:00pm until the time of service.
