Emma Rose Scoles of Bridgeport, Michigan

Our beloved, beautiful, gentle, and kind sister and aunt, Emma Rose Scoles, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. She was 16 years old.

Emma was born on May 15, 2010, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Kevin Wayne and Cyndi (Syrowik) Scoles. She attended Bridgeport-Spaulding Schools throughout her life and began online learning in the fall of 2026.

Emma was full of life and had a sweet, caring spirit that made a lasting impression on everyone she met. She had a gentle heart and a way of making people feel special. Emma loved collecting Squishmallows and enjoyed spending time on social media, where she shared posts and connected with others. She had pen pals from all over the world, with many of her closest online friendships being with people from Australia.

Emma had a special love for Australia and dreamed of one day traveling there. She loved everything about the country and often talked about her hope of visiting it someday. Her curiosity about the world and her ability to form friendships across distances reflected the kind, open-hearted person she was.

Though her life was far too short, Emma touched the lives of many people. Her sweetness, kindness, and genuine love for others will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind memories that will be cherished forever by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

Emma will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her sister, Trinity Scoles and her fiancé, Dalton Ciolek of Saginaw; nephew, Maximus Leaming of Saginaw; bonus parents, Amber and James Manning. She is also survived by her friends in the neighborhood as well as online who loved and cared for her whenever she was in need.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cyndi and Kevin Scoles.

A funeral service honoring Emma will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2026, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd., Saginaw, MI 48603. Rev. Julie Bailey will officiate. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on October 12, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family c/o Trinity Scoles.
