Our loving mother and grandmother passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019. Age 99 years. She was born on August 29, 1919, daughter of late William and Gertrude (Manor) Musser, in Linwood, Michigan. Emma married Eugene H. LaPan on January 3, 1942. He predeceased her on February 9, 1967. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, where she had been in the Alter Society, decorated the church and helping in other areas of the church. She was an avid sewer and quilter. She loved and adored her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her family. Emma will be missed by her children, Rodney (Penny) LaPan and LaNora (Bruce) Bryan; her grandchildren, Vonnie (Keith) Creighton, Shannon (Austin) Fritzler, Travis Bryan, Stephanie Dudek, Jody (Bill) DuBeau, Jeff LaPan, Daniel (Terry) LaPan and Joseph (Jennifer) LaPan; many great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; her daughter-in-law, Linda LaPan; her sisters, Bernice Kerns and Wilma (Joseph) Smolen; also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons, Gary, Kendall and Dennis LaPan, three sisters and two brothers. Funeral service will take place at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1525 S. Washington Ave. Deacon Roger Pasionek will officiate with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
