Elner M. Beamish Freeland, Michigan Passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at home at the age of 86 years. Elner was born on March 31, 1930, in Hemlock, the daughter of the late Herman and Helena (Wardin) Kruth. She married Garold "Tom" Beamish on March 18, 1952 in Laporte, Michigan. He predeceased her on May 9, 1994. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and 4-H Leader for many years. She enjoyed knitting, reading, card playing and watching the Detroit Tigers. Surviving are her children, Marie Garno, Barbara (Ernest) Miller, Susan (Andrew) Neuenfeldt and Scott (Julie) Beamish; her grandchildren, Donald (Chelsea) Neuenfeldt, John Garno, Wayne Garno, Laura (Max) Kopplin, Jessica (Spencer) Rossow and Renea Fry; her great granddaughter, Kylan Kopplin; her sister, Arlene (Richard) Keel; her sister-in-law, Gerry Kruth; also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Root Garno, her brothers, Vernie, Melvin and Donald Kruth. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2461 N. Raucholz Road, Hemlock. Rev. Dr. William Morris will officiate with burial in Richland Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, September 9, 2016, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at W. L. Case and Company, 125 E. Saginaw, Merrill, and then at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
