Went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 07, 2016 at the age of 103 years. The son of the late Conrad and Rose (Trachsel) Buese was born on January 21, 1913 in Cleveland, Ohio. He married Betty S. Southern on August 19, 1938; she survives him. He worked for the church primarily as a Director of Christian Education and in mental health facilities. Elmer also volunteered with the Blood Bank, and was a representative for the National Red Cross. Elmer and Betty lived a very full life and active life; performing in Community Theatre, dancing and canoeing. Surviving besides his wife of almost 78 years, Betty, and their children: Nancy (Sid-deceased) Stahl of Long Beach, CA, Marcia (Harold- deceased) Huff of Palmetto, FL and extended family James and Doris Hyland of Elsie, MI. A celebration of life for Elmer will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Independence Village, in the Harmony Hall, 255 Mayer Rd., Frankenmuth, MI.
