Obituary

Edith Bernice Dunlap, a beloved resident of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on September 27, 2026, at the age of 63.

She was born on June 15, 1963, to Ruth and Ollen Lawson in Saginaw, Michigan. Edith lived a full life, cherishing every moment spent with her loved ones. Her spirit was as vibrant as the outdoors she adored, and her laughter was often heard echoing around crackling campfires. She had a zest for life that was truly infectious, always ready to embrace new experiences and share them with those she held dear. Known for her warm heart and generous nature, Edith was a dedicated worker in the retail industry. Outside of work, her passions came alive. Dancing was a joy she embraced wholeheartedly, and the great outdoors called to her soul. She found immense pleasure in kayaking and tubing, activities that allowed her to connect with nature and experience pure, unadulterated fun. Above all, Edith's greatest treasure was her family. She cherished every opportunity to spend time with them, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.

Edith is survived by one son Matthew Lawson; seven grandchildren, Kristen Duranso, Valenica (Brandon) Fegter, William Duranso, Christopher Duranso, Aleeica Lawson, Jobey Vasquez, and Jozlyn Vasquez; three great-grandchildren, Alonzo Gauna, Lorenzo Gauna, and Kiyanni Duranso. She is also survived by two brothers and one sister, Dwight (Diane) Bruce, Andrew (Brooke) Lawson, and Carol (Mike) Dalton; and four special nephews, Robie, Justin, Jason, and Valentino.

Edith was preceded in death by her father, Ollen Lawson, her mother, Ruth Marino and step-father, Joseph Marino.

She will be deeply missed by her granddaughters, Valenica Fegter, Aleeica Lawson. She also leaves behind a legacy of love and will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. Details regarding memorial services will be shared by the family at a later date. Edith's life was enriched by her love for her family, her passion for the outdoors, including cherished moments spent by the campfire, and her enjoyment of dancing, kayaking, and tubing.
