Dorsey L. Davis Merrill, Michigan Went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 11, 2017, age 80 years. Dorsey was born on March 25, 1937, son of the late Dorsey and Ethel (Dysinger) Davis, Sr., in Flint. He married Lorraine Flauding on September 14, 1957, she survives him. He was a member of St. John XXIII Parish, St. Patrick Ryan Church. Dorsey retired from Dow Chemical as a Computer Analyst after 31 years of service and was a member of the Merrill Broadhead Archery Club. He loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting and holding his traditional weekend fish fry at the cabin in Au Gres. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. Dorsey was always helpful to others, was loved and will be missed by many. Surviving besides his wife Lorraine, are his children, Keith (Julie) Davis, Lloyd (Julie) Davis and Dean Davis; eleven grandchildren, Mike, Michelle, Jason and Ryan Davis, Jodi (Sid) Goodrich, Alicia (TJ) Teenier, Katie (Tim) Curran, Jaime Lopez, Elaina Hernandez, Jennifer (Steve) Winston and Anita Lopez; 19 great grandchildren; his sisters, Mary McKay and Ruth Ann (Bill) Dorsa and his brother, Richard Davis; also many other special relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his daughter, Ann Marie Lopez; sisters and brother, Kathleen, Ellen, Thelma, Shirley and Chester. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at St. John XXIII Parish, St. Patrick Ryan Church, 4708 N. Meridian Road. Fr. Dennis Kucharczyk will officiate with burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at W. L. Case and Company, 125 E. Saginaw in Merrill, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
