Dorothy Fayona (Carpenter) Miller Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017, age 99 years. She was born on November 1, 1917, daughter of the late Charles and Nora (Farnsworth) Carpenter. Dorothy married Ralph Eaton Miller on August 16, 1935, he predeceased her on December 31, 1983. She was a member of State Street United Methodist Church. In her younger days she enjoyed flower gardening, sewing and working in the ministry. Later in life she loved being at the cabin on the lake, antiquing all around the northland and was an avid reader. Surviving are her children, Beverly J. Miller, Nancy (Robert) Baumgartner and Thomas E. Miller; her grandchildren, Diana (Tony) Acevedo, Sharon (Paul) Boyd, Randolph (Virginia) Baumgartner and Valerie Belisle; her great grandchildren, Trisha Baumgartner, Nicole Hubbell and Katie Boyd; her sister, Betty Conway. She was predeceased by her brothers, Erwin Carpenter and James Reid, her sisters, Agatha Ferguson, Ruth Kuhfelt, Phyllis Conway and her dear friend, Millie Kipp. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at State Street United Methodist Church, 3617 Mackinaw Street. Pastor Monique French will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road and on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
