Celebrated the new year with her husband in heaven, going home at the age of 82 years. The daughter of the late Howard and Marguette (Hale) Frazier was born on January 22, 1937 in Saginaw. She married Bernard William Kade on June 4, 1954; he predeceased her on December 10, 2012. Dorothy worked as a cook and retired from St. Francis Home after over 20 years of service. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. Dorothy enjoyed traveling, sewing crafts and spending time with her family. Surviving are four children and their spouses: Bernard Kade Jr., Saginaw, MI; Debbie and Hank Dietrich, Atlanta, MI; Glenn and Kate Kade, Conklin, MI; Danny and Gerdi Kade, Regensburg, Germany; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; four sisters, one brother and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides her husband and parents, Dorothy was predeceased by an infant granddaughter and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Bethany Lutheran Church, 5051 McCarty Rd. Rev. Michael Nitz will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. on Friday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church or Covenant VNA Hospice.
