Donna M. Frollo

Hemlock, Michigan

Our loving mother, grandmother and sister passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at the age of 85 years. Donna was born on November 28, 1938, daughter of the late Adella (Stoddard) and Henry Hartung, in Saginaw. She married Thomas E. Frollo on January 19, 1957. He predeceased her on March 7, 2016. Donna was a graduate of Saginaw High School and a member of St. John XXIII Parish, St. Mary Church, Hemlock. She had been employed by Hemlock Public Schools as a Monitor and Lunch Aide. Donna enjoyed flower gardening, going to the cottage and “Girls Weekend” that included wine tasting and visiting the casino. Above all her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Surviving are her sons and daughters, Sue (Mark) Thumser, Gary (Lori) Frollo, Ken Frollo and Julie (Mark) Crelly; grandchildren, Josh Bell, Angie (Paul) Bailey, Nicole (Jon) DeCarney, Matt (Tina) Frollo, Bethany Frollo, Tommy Frollo, Jim Welch, Ethan, Grace and Nolan Crelly; 17 great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Stoddard; brother, Morris Stoddard; many other special relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her sisters, Diane Ostrander and Betty Sherick and her daughter-in-law, Rhonda Frollo. 

Donna’s family would like to express their appreciation in the exceptional care given by the nurses at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper ICU and 3^rd. Floor. 

Memorial Mass will take place at 12:00 p.m., on Monday, June 10, 2024, at St. John XXIII Parish, St. Mary Catholic Church, 151 St. Marys Drive, Hemlock. Rev. Fr. Michael F. Steltenkamp, S.J. will officiate with burial in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 11:00 a.m. till the time of service.
