Donna Lee Duby (Schriener)

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away Friday, March 3, 2023 at Covenant Healthcare with her family by her side at the age of 64 years.

Donna was born on December 18, 1958, in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Reese High School. Donna then earned her Associate's Degree in Business at Great Lake Junior College. She married the love of her life, Kenneth L. Duby, on October 22, 1994 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Reese, Michigan. They shared 29 wonderful years together. Kenneth survives her. After her medical diagnosis she volunteered at Covenant Mackinaw gift shop for many years. She became family and friends to many that worked there. Way too many names to mention! For she was a true friend to all! Donna cherished the time spent with her family and loved ones, especially her husband, her dog, and her grandchildren as they were her world.

Left to cherish her memory besides her husband, Ken Duby, are her sons, Joseph Glen, his children: Brianna, Kayla, Christopher, and Neveah; his grandchildren: Selena, Jackson, and Kayden; Van-Y II. Douglas Lee, his wife Johanna, and their children: Londyn, Ivy, Ellie and Crew; Van-Y. Paul Kenneth, his wife Breanne, and their children: Morgan, Brianna, Eden, and Elizabeth; Duby. Sister and brother: Tammy (Marc) Gaertner, Diane Peterson, Rick Bosserdet; sisters-in-law: Ann Field, Sue (Almon) Mason, and Kathy Duby. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her mother, JoAnn Schriener (Armstrong), father, Donald Schriener, mother-in-law, Louise M. Duby, father-in-law, Lyle K. Duby, sister, Penny Cleveland, brother, Randy Bosserdet, sister-in-law, Pam Bosserdet.

Honoring Donna's wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Covenant Cancer Center or the American Cancer Society.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the Covenant Healthcare nurses and doctors for the exceptional care Donna received.
