It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald David Wirth, who departed from this world on May 6, 2026, in Saginaw, Michigan, at the age of 79. Born on June 26, 1946, in Saginaw, Michigan to Raymond and Grace (Wood) Wirth, Donald remained a lifelong resident of Michigan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Wirth and Grace (Wood) Wirth.

Donald is survived by his loving wife, Sally Wirth, of 50 years; his children, Dani Lyn Wirth, Donald (Sandy) Wirth Jr., LeeAnn (Travis) Smith, Stacy (John) Chapelo; grandchildren, Matthew, Tylar, Taylor, Nicholas, Steven, Crystal, Angela, Danielle, Justin, Samantha; great-grandchildren, Grace, Hayden, Anthony, Mary, Hunter, Ollen, Susannah, Heather, Emmett, Ella, Emelia, McKenna; a grandchild on the way, Stella, and a great-great-grandchild on the way, Gracelynn; brother, Terence Wirth, and his children, Sherry and Terence II; as well as many extended family and friends that will hold his memory dear to their hearts.

Donald's life was a testament to his dedication and hard work. He approached life with a straightforward and practical attitude, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need, yet will always be remembered for his quick wit and well-timed jokes.

Donald's love for life was reflected in his relationships. On August 22, 1975, he married his best friend, Sally Bain, and together, they shared life's adventures. Donald's family was the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished the moments they shared together.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, commitment, and quiet strength. Donald's memory will be treasured by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered for his steadfast presence and the genuine care he extended to others.
