Donald Clarence Plamp, age 92, of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away at Hoyt Nursing Home, on Saturday, July 26, 2025.
Donald was born in Saginaw, Michigan on April 7, 1933, to the late William Carl Plamp and Marian Katherine (Ray) Plamp. He graduated from Arthur Hill Trade. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from Fullerton Tool Company after 42 years of service.
Donald was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing on The Au Sable River. He was a member of Trout Unlimited and the B.A.S.S. Nation. He also enjoyed woodworking and restoring antique cars.
Donald is survived by his son David (Julie) Plamp and his daughter Kelly Plamp; one grandson Jeremiah Plamp; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his best friend Don Pringle and two special sisters-in-law: Elaine George and Betty Massey.
He was preceded in death by his parents William and Katherine Plamp; his daughter Cathy Schultz; several brothers and sisters, and one grandson.
Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 201 N Miller Rd, Saginaw, MI 48609, where a funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Rev. Fr. Steven Gavit will officiate the service with interment to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, where military honors will be conducted by the American Legion and the Army.
