Schark, Donald J. Saginaw, Michigan Donald J. Schark, 86; beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather passed away October 9, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. The son of the late Henry and Anna (Wiegand) Schark, Donald was born March 2, 1927 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Betty Jane MacFarlane on October 11, 1947 and would have celebrated 66 years of marriage. She survives him He owned Schark Heating and Cooling from 1968 until the day of his retirement on October 1, 1989. He enjoyed hunting with his sons, golfing, playing cards, traveling, going up north and spending time with his family. Donald was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Fraternal Order of the Eagles and Polish Falcons Club. He was a wonderful father and grandfather who will be missed by many. Surviving besides his wife Betty are his children: Barbara (Ferdy) Meier, Sue Gunther, Donald (Debbie) Schark, Jeffery (Mary) Schark and Daughter In-Law Mary Schark. His grandchildren; Kelly (Matt) Kenel, Shelly (Scott) Kolevar, Jay (Kelly) Meier, Dale Gunther, Scott (Krissa) Gunther, Don Schark, Corey (Brian) DeLong, Jennifer (Mark) LaDouce, David (Mary) Schark, Carrie (Tim) Wilson, Kristen (Jeff) Platte, Jeffery, Ryan and Kyle Schark; 17 Great Grandchildren, sisters Dorothy Jacobs and Marilyn (James) LaDouce, many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents a son David Schark and a brother in-law, Harold Jacobs preceded him in death. Funeral service will take place at 12:00 noon Saturday, October 12, 2013 at W. L. Case and Company, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Mark P. Buckert will officiate with cremation to follow. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Friday, October 11, 2013 from 2:00-9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
