Donald C. Kropp, Sr.

Kropp, Donald C. Sr. Saginaw Twp., MI Passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016 at St. Francis Home at the age of 80 years. Donald was born on September 15, 1936 in Pigeon, Michigan, the son of the late Hattie Pearl (Fahndrich) and Solomon Kropp Jr. Don married Barbara Nadiger on June 25, 1955; She survives him. He was a Painting Contractor for over 45 years. Don was a very active member of First United Methodist Church. He volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, the Eastside Soup Kitchen and the Old Towne Christian Outreach Soup Kitchen. Don was a "people person" and enjoyed helping people and lending a hand to people in need. Surviving besides his wife, Barbara are their children: Randy (Judy) Kropp, Rodney (Susan) Kropp, 6 grandchildren, Tessa, Joel, Alyson, Rodger, Oona and Vladimir; 3 great-grandsons, Odin, Jase and Maverick; two brothers, one sister and their spouses, Doris and R.J. Davis; Harold Kropp; Willard and Mary Kropp; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter and a son: Angela Kropp and Donald Kropp Jr. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2016 at First United Methodist Church, 4790 Gratiot Rd. Rev. Amy Terhune will officiate with burial at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd., from 2:00-4:00 and 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday and then on Monday at the church from Noon Monday until the time of the funeral service.
