Dianne Marie McMan of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully with her family and Pastor by her side on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Covenant HealthCare – Cooper. She was 73 years old. Dianne Marie McMan was born on May 21, 1949, in Lansing, Michigan, to the late Dan and Marie (Boyce) Rowland. She was a proud graduate of Arthur Hill High School and studied briefly at Delta College. Diane met the love of her life, Gary McMan, in the summer of 1968, while working at Hausbeck Pickle Company. They dated, fell in love, shared many love letters, and were united in marriage on September 13, 1969; he preceded her in death on October 20, 2008. A caregiver by nature, Dianne, worked as a nursing assistant at St. Mary’s Hospital for over 20 years, selflessly using her gifts of compassion and comfort to care for those in need. The role of her lifetime, and one she treasured and cherished the most, was to be the most loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, the world has ever known. Dianne was a longtime and faithful member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and volunteered her time in the choir. A gifted musician, Dianne captivated others by beautifully and effortlessly playing the violin, cello, and piano. An artist by every sense of the word, her soul’s passion was to paint and draw stunning pieces of art and inspiring others about the importance of her craft. Her little piece of heaven was spending time with her family, caring for all animals, especially her cat, Adi, and dog, Mitzy, and gardening. She will forever be remembered for her devotion to the Bible and Christian television, for faithfully praying daily, for her hard work ethic, and for truly living an amazing life filled with many beautiful memories and stories.
Surviving are one son and four daughters: Sean McMan of Freeland; Celeste (William) Rice of Birch Run; Melissa Gohm and her significant other, Dr. Joseph Natole of Saginaw; Andrea (Gianni) Tata of Saginaw; Jennifer (Adam) Veltre of High Point, NC; 14 grandchildren: Chase King, Madisen McMan, Evan McMan, Allison McMan, Jessica Goosman, Samuel Rice, Catherine Rice, Isaac Rice, Emily Gohm, Nicholas Gohm, Nathan Gohm, Lucas Gohm, Fiona Tata, Amelia Veltre; two sisters: Cherrie Rowland of Saginaw; Debbie (Dave) Gorski of DE; and her best friend, Cheryl Dembinski. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Gary McMan; parents, Dan and Marie Rowland.
