Smith, Diane L. Burt, MI Loving mother and grandmother passed away Friday, April 11, 2014, at the age of 61. Diane was born September 23, 1952, in Saginaw to the late William and Dorothy (Warner) Rivett. She retired from General Motors. Diane loved spending time with her family, camping, and vacationing in Florida. She is survived by her son, James (Misti) Smith II; grandson, Zander Smith; sisters, Sandy Schneider and Pat (Jerry) Greenwald; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her loving companion of 20 years, Dean Wintermeyer; siblings, Jerry Rivett, Robert Rivett, Calvin Rivett, and Marie Rivett; and brother-in-law, Verne Schneider. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Fr. Joseph Schabel will officiate with burial to follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
