Obituary

Diane Marie Johnson, age 72, passed away after a courageous battle. Diane was born in Saginaw, Michigan on September 3, 1954 to the late James W. Hoffman and Leila G. (Specht) Hoffman. She lived a life centered around family, love, and the simple joys that made life special.

Diane was the beloved wife of Ron, with whom she shared a deep and lasting love. The two were inseparable, talking throughout the day and sharing the everyday moments that made their life together so special. Their relationship was a beautiful example of companionship, devotion, and love.

She was a loving mother to Ryan and Chelsea, but one of her greatest joys in life was being a grandma to her four grandchildren. She loved spoiling her grandbabies and treasured the time she spent with them. Her love for her family was evident in the way she cared for them and in the memories she created with those closest to her.

Diane worked for the telephone company, where she served as a supervisor before taking an early retirement. Retirement gave her more time to enjoy the things she loved, including playing computer games, a yearly visit to Bear Lake, and trips to Gulf Shores. She had an eye for making spaces beautiful and found joy in creating a home that reflected her personality and love.

A member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Diane's faith was part of her life and her community.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Ronald; her children, Ryan (Samantha) and Chelsea (Bryan); her four cherished grandchildren, Colton, Carter, Maci and Teagan; her two sisters and brother; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

Diane leaves behind a family who loved her deeply and memories that will be treasured for generations. She will be profoundly missed and forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Friends may visit with the family from 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 201 N Miller Rd, Saginaw, MI 48609, with the funeral service to follow at 7:30 p.m. Rev. Kirk Abatelli will officiate the service and there will be a private interment in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
