Diane Marie Ernsthausen, age 76, formerly of Somerset PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 in the loving care of Saginaw Senior Care & Rehab Center, her sister Sharon, and daughter Rebekah.
Born April 1, 1949, in Somerset PA, she was the daughter of late Guy William Kenemore and Sophia Margaret (Stanczyk) Kenemore.
Diane belonged to a non-denominational church and her faith in Jesus Christ formed the foundation for her life. For over 20 years, Diane lived at Surfside Beach, SC. Diane loved her family, long walks on the beach, and her hobby of floral design. In addition to her faithfulness to God, Diane will be remembered for her healing touch. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
Diane married Delbert John Ernsthausen in Winchester, Virginia on December 1, 1967. Delbert preceded Diane in death on November 11, 2001. Delbert rolled out the red carpet for his beloved wife. Together they created a home in Somerset PA and homelife that nurtured their children. There was a home church that met in their home for many years.
In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her brother David W Kenemore.
Diane leaves behind to cherish her memory her three children John M Ernsthausen, Rebekah D Ernsthausen, and David D Ernsthausen as well as her siblings Sarah (Herman "Bud") Rosey (Friedens PA), Daniel J Kenemore (Fort Wayne, IN), Dennis L (Cherie) Kenemore (Mt Wolf PA), and Sharon (Mark) Provencher (Saginaw, MI); and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will take place 6:00 p.m. Saturday June 21, 2025 at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors 4480 Mackinaw Rd., Saginaw, Michigan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 4:00 to 7:00pm. Additionally, a funeral service will take place 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 26 at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home 494 W Main St., Somerset, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00am to 1:00pm.
Diane will be laid to rest at Somerset County Memorial Park.
