Dennis Jay Sommer (Curly) Burt, Michigan Loved husband, father, brother and uncle passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015. He loved all sports and the 3 stooges. He worked for General Motors, Saginaw Steering Gear Div. for 27 years, retiring in 1995. He is survived by his wife, Rose of 44 years; three sons, Dennis R. Sommer; Benjamin J. Sommer, all of Burt, MI. Russell D. (Brad Damar) Sommer, Los Angeles, CA; two sisters and a brother, Elaine (Bruce) Bernard, Cheboygan, MI; Charles (Chuck) Sommer, Bradenton, FL; Sherry (David) Paquet, Mackinaw City, MI. He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Maxine Sommer of Mackinaw City and a daughter, Carrie Rose Sommer of Saginaw, MI. The funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2015, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Ted Doolittle will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Chapel from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
