Dennis "Denny" Leo Gould

Dennis “Denny” Leo Gould of Saginaw, Michigan 

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Adira Nursing and Rehab Center. He was 80 years old. Dennis L. Gould was born February 14, 1944, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Kenneth and Vera (Chatfield) Gould. He was a proud 1963 graduate of Saginaw High School. Following graduation, Dennis began working construction with his father. Shortly after, he was employed with Saginaw Steering Gear/Delphi, retiring as a crane operator with over 30 years of loyal and dedicated service. He married the love of his life, Sharon L. Carlton, on March 17, 1990, in Saginaw, recently celebrating their 34^th wedding anniversary; she survives him. The role of his lifetime, one he treasured and cherished above all others, was to be a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Dennis was a former member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #497. He enjoyed camping with his family, taking photographs, and spending time tending to his flower and vegetable gardens, especially his tomatoes and zucchini. His little piece of heaven was traveling with his wife both state side and internationally. Dennis will forever be remembered for his selflessness and kindness, spending time attending all his grandchildren’s school and sporting events, and for truly living an amazing life filled with many beautiful memories and stories. 

Surviving are his wife, Sharon L. Gould of Saginaw; two stepdaughters: Carrie (Fred) Hovis of Saginaw; Mindy (John) Feinauer of Saginaw; four grandchildren: AJ (Ashley) Hovis, Amanda (James) Tice, Elijah Feinauer; and Zachary Feinauer; three great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Matthew Hovis and Everett Tice; two brothers: Harold Gould of Mt. Pleasant; Gerald (Virginia) Gould of East Lansing; and two children: Denise and Dennis Jr. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Vera Gould; a sister-in-law, Mary Gould. 

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Adira Nursing and Rehab Center and Heartland Hospice for all the love and care they provided to Dennis and the family. 

A Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2024, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, Saginaw, MI, 48609. Pastor CJ Feinauer will officiate. A private burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
