Delores A. Cummings

Went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 23, 2019, following a lengthy illness. She was born on June 3, 1935, daughter of the late Helene (Bremer) and John Leachman, in Saginaw. Delores retired from bus driving with Bridgeport Public Schools after 22 years of service. She had a true passion for animals, especially her dogs. She also enjoyed her Tops group. Delores will be missed by her children, Edward (Terry) Cummings, Mike (Lynn) Cummings, Patricia (Raymond) Roenicki and Allen Cummings; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, Robert (Jane) Leachman; her sister, Joan Cummings and Doc; also many nieces, nephews and her sister-in-law, Pat Leachman. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Suzanne Bertrum, granddaughter, Stephanie Cummings Cox, her sister, Barbara White, her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Carolyn Leachman, her brother, John Leachman and her daughter-in-law, Rusty Cummings. A special thank you to her loving granddaughter, Cameron Roenicki, for being by her side through life until death, you were her rock. Funeral service will take place at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at W. L. Case and Company, 201 N. Miller Road. Fr. Jack Johnson will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at the chapel from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may consider the wishes of the family.
