Debra Sue Amy of Birch Run, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother, and aunt passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at Covenant HealthCare Rehabilitation Center in Saginaw. She was 67 years old. Debra Sue Amy was born on August 19, 1952, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Carl and Bernice (Scheffler) Amy. She was a proud 1970 graduate of Bridgeport High School. Following graduation, Debra began working in the banking industry for many years. She than began working as an assembly line worker with General Motors, retiring with over 29 years of service. Debra also treasured and cherished the times going up north with family sitting around the campfire roasting hotdogs and marshmallows. Above anything, Debra loved nothing else than to spend time with her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was kind, caring, and had a great sense of humor. She will forever be remembered for her thoughtfulness and for her genuinely loving spirit.

Surviving are her daughter, Carla (Joe); nieces and nephews: Cathy, Carl, Trish, Dawn, Tammy Heather (Lance), Patrick (Stephanie), and Candi; grandchildren: Sarah, John, Devin, Herman, Robbie, JJ, Noelle, and James; one special cousin, Susie Musial. Also surviving are many great-nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.

Besides her parents, Debra he was preceded in death by a brother, Vern Amy; two sisters: Sharon Amy and Linda Amy-Latoski.

A funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2020, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway. Rev Julie Bailey will officiate. Family and friends are welcome to visit at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. Due to restrictions set forth by the State of Michigan and the worldwide health pandemic, all visitors are required to wear a face covering and practice social distancing.
