Gilbert, Dean Gladwin, Michigan Passed away suddenly, Monday, July 20, 2015. Age 51 years. Dean was born September 9, 1963 in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of Kathy (Doc) Poineau and his other mother, Margaret Gilbert and the late Charles "Pappy" Gilbert. He married Raquel Velasco, October 8, 1988. She survives him. Dean had been working for L&K Electric. Surviving besides his wife, Raquel, and his parents, Kathy (Doc) Poineau, and Margaret Gilbert are 2 children, Dean Joseph Gilbert; Ray Louis Gilbert; a sister and three brothers and their spouses, Theresa (Michael) Dilts; Robert Poineau; Thomas (Teena) Poineau; Charles Gilbert; his mother-in-law, Olivia M. Velasco; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family and friends. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Charles "Pappy" Gilbert and his father-in-law, Raul Velasco Sr. The funeral service will take place 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2015, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Cremation to follow. Friends may call at the Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service.
