David Edward Starkey

Beloved brother, uncle, cousin, and friend went home to the Lord on Monday, August 1, 2022 at Covenant Hospital, with his family at his side; at the age of 69 years.

The son of the late William D. and Shirley W. (Tetzlaff), David was born on February 18, 1953 in Highland Park, Michigan. He graduated from Fraser High School with the class of 1971. David loved bowling and basketball, as well as watching sports, spending time with family, and had a strong faith in God. David will be fondly remembered for his kind soul, compliments, adoration for his family, and contagious smile.

Surviving is his sister: Diana Heins; two nieces: Tammy (Todd) Hunt, Tracey (Brian) VanHuylenbrouck. Also surviving are several great-nephews, great-nieces, extended family members, and friends.

Honoring David’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to a charity or church of choice.
