David Earl King Jr., age 74, of Thomas Township, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Shields Comfort Care.

David was born in Alma, Michigan on October 11, 1951, to the late David Earl King Sr. and Mary Lou (Mather) King. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1970 and worked as a delivery driver for various businesses for many years.

David was very competitive in sports and especially enjoyed playing football and broom hockey. He was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed drag racing and oval track racing.

David is survived by his daughter Theresa King and son Andrew King and his wife Christian Payne-King, and two grandchildren Daytona King and Brooklynn King. He is also survived by his siblings: Pam Clark, Alice Riddle, Sue Bowers, Carl King, Michael King, Carol Gerow and her husband Keith. He was preceded in death by an infant son Gordon King, and his brothers Jimmy King and Steven King.

Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 201 N Miller Rd, Saginaw, MI 48609, where friends may visit with the family from 12:00 p.m. until time of the service. Rev. Julie Bailey will officiate the service.
