David Michael Kelly

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at the age of 63 years.

The son of the late Bill and Barbara (Kwapis) Kelly was born on May 17, 1962, in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Bridgeport High School, the Class of 1980. He retired from the International Union, U.A.W. in 2018, prior to that he was a Skilled Tradesman. David loved to travel, especially to Mexico where he and his wife Missy would vacation regularly. He had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting. He rode his Harley Davidson as much as he could, often taking it out of state with his wife and friends. He cherished the memories made with many friends. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, who he loved dearly. Being a father and husband were his true passions. While he didn’t get much time being a grandfather, he made every moment count.

Surviving are his wife, Missy Kelly; children, Magen Kelly and Drew (Amber) Kelly; grandson, Liam Kelly; siblings, Peggy (Hank) Lantvit, Wayne (Amy) Kelly and Paul Newman; mother-in law, Marcia Newman; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides his parents, David was predeceased by his father-in-law, Willard Newman.

A Celebration of Life will take place from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Saginaw Valley United Pentecostal Church, formerly Assumption BVM, 7877 Bell Road, Birch Run, MI 48415.
