It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Allan Enos, who departed this life on July 8, 2026. Born on September 26, 1952, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Samuel and Ann (Kennedy) Enos, David spent his final years in Omer, Michigan, surrounded by the people and places he loved.
David lived a life defined by hard work, determination, and an unwavering commitment to those around him. A proud graduate of Arthur Hill High School, he entered the workforce and became a respected Union Steward, earning the admiration of coworkers through his fairness, integrity, and willingness to stand up for what he believed was right. David worked for the Teamsters local 486 for 42 years. Within that 42 years of service, he served for a number of years as the vice president and was a union representative at Pepsi. His quiet strength, steady presence, and dedication to helping others left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Beyond his career, David was deeply involved in organizations that reflected his values and passions. He was a proud member of VFW Post 1566, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the North American Hunting Club, the Bridgeport Gun Club, and the Saginaw Sportsman's Club. Through these organizations, he built lifelong friendships and remained connected to the communities he cared about so deeply.
An avid outdoorsman, David found peace and purpose in the woods. Hunting was more than a hobby—it was a lifelong passion that took him across the western United States and into Canada in pursuit of North America's big game, including elk, moose, bear, deer, and turkey. He treasured these adventures and the stories that came with them.
To his family, David will be remembered as a man of determination who knew what he wanted and worked tirelessly to achieve it. He was dependable, strong-willed, and fiercely devoted to those he loved. No matter the circumstance, he was always there when his family needed him most, offering support, guidance, and unconditional love.
David leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Jean Enos; his children, Stacie (Scot) Makley, Trisha Alcock, Brandelin (Pete) Frazier, and Matthew (Tori) Enos; his grandchildren, Samantha Garner, Devyn Makley, Hanna Makley, Elessa Trevino-Alcock, Jonathon Donald, Charlize Donald, Miles Frazier, Evie (Evan) Hasty, and Megan (Dave) Eng; his great-granddaughter, Astrid Eng; his sisters, Becky (Steve) Enciso and Patricia "Patty" Tetrault; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will treasure the memories they shared with him.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Ann Enos; his brothers, Tim Enos, Bernie "Bones" Enos, and Morris "Moe" Enos; and his sister, Cathy Freitag.
Though he is no longer with us, David's legacy of hard work, loyalty, perseverance, and love for family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His memory will be cherished, and he will be deeply missed.
