Beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away at home on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at the age of 87 years.

David was born on June 12, 1937, in Hemlock, Michigan. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1955 – 1958. He worked for Wickes Corporation, retiring after over forty years of service. David married Carol Ann Lawcock on June 18, 1955, and she preceded him in death on November 20, 2018. His hobbies were sailing and flying planes, but his true joy was the Godly fellowship meetings. David’s deep faith in the living God brought him great peace, especially in the months of his declining health.

David is survived by two children Dawn Matusik and David C. Cavanaugh; granddaughter Jayne (Gerald) Morton; two great-grandchildren Brie Morton and Gavin Morton; nieces, nephews, and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife Carol and their daughter Katherine Cavanaugh.

Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at W.L.
