Darcy Wellman

Montrose, MI

Our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on April 15, 2023, at her home with her family by her side after her battle with cancer. Age 53 years.

Darcy was born on January 06, 1970, in Saginaw to Dale and Dorothy (Prast) Milbrandt. She was a proud graduate of Valley Lutheran High School, class of 1988. She married Patrick Wellman on September 10, 1994; he survives her. Darcy worked for many years at Frankenmuth Insurance. In her free time she enjoyed boating out on the bay. She especially loved visiting Tawas. More than anything she loved spending time with her family. Her last wish was to see her youngest son, Gabriel, graduate high school. The principal of Birch Run High School made this possible by making a special visit to her house. Darcy was able to applaud her son as he received his diploma early. She passed that same night after having her dying wish fulfilled.

Darcy is survived by her husband Patrick Wellman; two sons: Ryan and Gabriel; her father, Dale Milbrandt, a brother, Darren Milbrandt, as well as many other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her mother, Dorothy Milbrandt and her grandparents.

Honoring Darcy's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 21, 2023, at W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw.  Pastor J. D. Howell will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at the funeral chapel as well as from 10:00 am Friday morning until the time of service.
