Loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother passed away peacefully December 3, 2021. Age 74 years.

Son of the late Margaret (Bruske) and Raymond Mathey was born March 25, 1947, in Freeland, Michigan. Danny married Dianne Trim in 1965; she survives him. He was employed at General Motors Malleable Iron for 40 years of service. Danny loved to fish and go to his cabin in Au Gres. He especially loved spending time with family. Danny was very well-liked by all and will be missed by many.

Surviving are his wife, Dianne Mathey, three children: Rhonda (Steve Pollick) Hamelink, Daniel "Boone" (Jennifer) Mathey, and Kimberlee (Matthew) Aldrich; six grandchildren: Kevin, Karrah, Blake, Molli, Kaitlyn, and Brayden; two great-grandchildren: Myla and Zoie; seven siblings, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was predeceased by both of his parents as well as a brother.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 10, 2021, at W. L. Case & Company, 201 North Miller Road, Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate with burial to follow in Garfield Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the funeral home, as well as from 10:00 am until the time of service Friday. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a charity of the donor's choice.
