Passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side, on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. Age 87 years.

Dale was born on November 16, 1935, son of the late Alfred and Elizabeth (Crandall) Scheffler, in Saginaw. He married the love of his life, Mary Gerl. She predeceased him on September 28, 2017. Dale had worked at Miles Machinery and later at Saginaw Steering Gear, retiring in 1993 after many years of dedicated service. He enjoyed camping, gardening, riding his golf cart and caring for his best pal, Polly.

Surviving are his daughter, Gayle Scheffler Turner; sons, Mark (Tracy) Scheffler and Matthew (Amber) Scheffler; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother, Norman “Brud” (Susan) Scheffler; and his dog, Polly. He was predeceased by his son, David Scheffler, four sisters and one brother.

Funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at W. L. Case and Company, 5700 Dixie Highway. Rev. Julie Bailey will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday at the chapel from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
