Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, with his family at his side. Age 94 years.

The son of the late Clarence and Louise (Bender) Hensler, Dale was born on June 18, 1930, in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Maxine Lorraine Rau on December 16, 1950. She preceded him in death on May 4, 2019. Dale and his wife were members of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Court and Bond Streets. He was a clerk at C&O/CSX, retiring after 34 years of dedicated and loyal service. In his free time, Dale volunteered for the Saginaw County Commission on Aging, assisting with delivering Meals on Wheels. He additionally dedicated his time to help Builders for Christ, building and renovating churches around the country. Dale enjoyed wood carving and hunting.

Surviving are his daughters, sons and their spouses: Sharon Porath, Linda and DeWayne Hall, Steven D. and Kelly Hensler, Vicki J. Hensler, David A. Hensler; grandchildren: Matthew and Jovanka Porath, Nathan Hall, Daniel Hall, Bryon Hall, Kristin Hensler, Jenna and Gillen Papenfuse; great-grandchildren: Franchesca and Travis Truluck, Anthony and Brittany Porath, Julianna Porath; great-great-grandchild, Mia Truluck.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Edgewood Assisted Living and Careline Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Dale.

Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 2024, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1020 Court St, Saginaw, MI 48602. Rev. David Naumann will officiate with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the church. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Michigan Lutheran Seminary.
