Cruz Chingman

Passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025 with his loving family at his side, at the age of 42 years.

The son of Theresa (Garcia) and the late Cruz Chingman was born on July 27, 1982 in Saginaw. Cruz was a favorite at the Meijer Produce where he worked, always chatting and brightening up customers days. He also worked for Delta Truss. He was a member of the Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption. He was also part of the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi. Cruz enjoyed playing dominos and card games but most especially cherished time spent with family and friends.

Surviving besides his mother, Theresa, are his children: Kayla, Carter and Chloe Chingman, his wife, Trisha, his brother Adam (Maria) Chingman and sister-in-law Paulette Garcia, his godson and nephew: Elijah Chingman, his nieces and nephews: Valencia Carolton, Valentina Garcia, Mariah Garcia, Jacob Garcia and many aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. Besides his father, Cruz, a brother Valentino Garcia predeceased him.

Funeral liturgy will take place 11:00 am Thursday, June 5, 2025 at St. John Paul II Parish, 469 Shattuck Rd. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. with a vigil service for Cruz at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also visit with the family on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral liturgy.
