Charles E. Averill Sr. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away November 9, 2016, at Covenant-Harrison, following a brief illness, at the age of 76. Charles was born May 9, 1940, in Saginaw to the late Ernest and Evelyn (Yax) Averill. He had been employed at U.S. Graphite and retired after 43 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judy (Smith) Averill; children, Charles Averill Jr. and Connie Averill; grandchildren, Chuck Averill III, Stacey Averill, James Merlone III, Amanda Merlone, and Marcus Doyle; 4 great-grandchildren; and his siblings Ernest "Spike" (Mary) Averill, Robert Averill, Dorothy Jacklin, and Evelyn Riska. He was predeceased by his siblings, Carol Averill, Vern, Denny, and Larry Averill. Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2016, at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Rd.
