Passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the age of 69 years. The daughter of the late Ottis Hughes and Desta (LeMaster) Hughes was born on October 17, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio. She was a member of Frist Baptist Church of Bridgeport. She enjoyed collecting miniature items and card games: Old Maid, War, Crazy Eights, and could accurately guess how much money you were holding in your palm. Surviving Jean are her siblings: Brenda Joyce, Larry Wayne, Alma Louise, Rita Diane, Vickie Gale, Curtis Dean, Ronnie Jo, Mona Kay and many relatives and loving friends from church and the D.E.B. AFC home. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three siblings: Ottis Frank, Johnny Dale, and Ricky Lee. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 15, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Bridgeport, 2400 King Rd. Rev. Jim Clark will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, D.E.B. AFC Home or a charity of your choice.
