Hoard, Carolyn J. Merrill, Michigan Passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Covenant Emergency Room, at the age of 73 years. Carolyn Jo Simpson was born July 6, 1943, in Bay City, the daughter of the late Herbert and Margaret (Simmons) Simpson. She married Richard C. Hoard on October 7, 1967; he survives her. She also leaves her daughter, Pam Blakeslee of St. Charles; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren: Amanda Blakeslee and her children, Eric, Isabella and Noah Bemiss; and Mikeal Blakeslee; two sisters, Lorna and Bob Skrzypczak; Sheila Miller; several nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her daughter, Paula Ellison, and by her son, Richard C. "Little Richie" Hoard. Funeral service will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2017, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 125 E. Saginaw Street, Merrill, where her family will receive friends from 12:00 noon Friday until the time of service. Pastor Bill Bodnar will officiate.
