Went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 02, 2019 after a lengthy illness at the age of 73 years. The daughter of Nellie (Peak) Sanderson and the late Harold J. Sanderson was born on February 14, 1946 in Saginaw. She married William E. Knoedler on November 6, 1965; he survives her. She was a member of the Bridgeport Gun Club. Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her family. Surviving besides her husband of 53 years, William, are their son: Scott (Julie) Knoedler of Fairfield, ME; three grandchildren: Nicole Jenkins of Auburn, MI; Brody Knoedler of Bay City, MI; Andrew Knoedler of South Bend, IN; great-grandchildren: Chase Jenkins, Skyllie Jenkins, Isabella Knoedler, her brother Rodger Whelton of Defuniak Springs, FL; her sister Phyllis Howard of Sterling, MI and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie HWY. Chaplain Kelly Iseman will officiate with burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral chapel on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
