Carol Ann
Tyburski
April 27, 1940 – May 8, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Ann Tyburski, who left this world on May 8, 2026, in Saginaw, Michigan at the age of 86. Born on April 27, 1940 in Saginaw to John and Florence (Miller) Ecker, Carol grew into a woman whose warmth, generosity, and unwavering love touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Carol was, above all else, devoted to her family. Known affectionately as “Mom” by nearly everyone in her life, she created a home filled with laughter, comfort, and unconditional love. Her family was the center of her world, and she dedicated her life to nurturing, supporting, and celebrating them. She had a remarkable eye for detail—especially in her crocheting—and later in life, she found joy and mastery in word search puzzles.
For more than 15 years, Carol volunteered at Covenant Healthcare, greeting patients, delivering mail, and lending a helping hand wherever she was needed. She approached her volunteer work with the same kindness, dedication, and quiet strength that defined her personal life. Her familiar smile and gentle presence made her a beloved figure throughout the hospital.
Carol’s greatest joy came from the moments spent with her family. She cherished every gathering, every milestone, and every simple moment in between—memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved.
She is survived by her loving children: Cheryl (Bob) DuRussel, Catherine Tyburski, Diane (Fred) Coty, and David (Kelly) Tyburski; her grandchildren, Robert III, Jeremy, and Kenneth DuRussel, and Kyle Tyburski; her great‑grandchildren, Gabriella, Payten, Karsyn, Collyns, Beckett, Zayden, and Jazlyn DuRussel; and her best friend of more than 40 years, Beverly Prell. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Jerry (Linda) Ecker; and her daughter, Raeann (Tony) Gervasi.
Though she has departed from this world, Carol’s spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched. Her legacy of love, kindness, and family devotion will forever be remembered. May her soul rest in peace.
