Passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the age of 86.
Carol was born in Brookline, Massachusetts on January 9, 1938, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Stephanie (Waick) Eagles. She was united in marriage with Frank Rousseau on June 23, 1956. Frank preceded her in death on September 26, 2012.
Carol was a member of St. John XXIII Parish, Sacred Heart Church for forty-seven years. She was active within the church and participated in decorating the church for over twenty years. She enjoyed putting puzzles together, cooking, baking, and gardening. She also enjoyed shopping and spending time with her dear friends.
Carol loved her family, friends, God, church, and country. She was blessed to care for grandson Adam when he was a child.
Carol is survived by her son Patrick (Melissa) Rousseau of Freeland, MI; grandson Adam Rousseau of North Ft. Meyer, FL, step-grandson Cody (Nichole) Stachurski of Merrill, MI, step-granddaughter Brittany (Daniel) Bryant of St. Charles, MI; step-greatgrandchildren Sophia, Makayla, Aubrey, Bentley, Christian, Cameron, and Danny; sister Joyce Smith of Brookline, MA and brother John Eagles of Brookline, MA.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Stephanie Eagles; husband Frank Rousseau; son Wayne Rousseau; and grandchildren Emma and Garrett.
Carol was loved by all who knew her. Everyone will miss her Boston accent, famous dishes she brought to events, heartfelt cards, and love for NASCAR.
Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 125 E Saginaw St, Merrill, MI 48637. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at St. John XXIII Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 445 S Midland St, Merrill, MI 48637. Rev. Michael F. Steltenkamp, S.J. will officiate the service with interment to follow in St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery.
