Beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023, at the age of 80 years old. Carol Ann Prebay was born on November 6, 1942 in Crofton, Nebraska, to the late Casper and Anna (Hendricks) Guenther. She graduated from Mount Marty High School, Class of 1960. Carol married Kenneth Prebay on Sep. 24, 1964 in Crofton, NE; he predeceased her on January 3, 2021. They lived the joys and sorrows of life together for 57 years. She retired from Kroger Pharmacy after many years of service as a pharmacy technician. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Parish, St. Christopher Catholic Church in Bridgeport, where she was a member of their Women’s Society. She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking trips to the casino.

Surviving are her children, Scott (Jennifer) Prebay, Darcie (David) Nicklyn, and Shawnta (Mark) Prebay; grandchildren, Justin Prebay, Katie (Preston) Weber, Rylee Wobio, Hannah Nicklyn, Connor Nicklyn, Lauren Prebay, and Chase Wobio, many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Besides her spouse and parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Elmer Guenther, Arthur Guenther, Mildred (Guenther) Schmidt, Lawrence Guether, Earl Guenther, Richard Guenther, Eileen (Guenther) Crespo, Jo Ann (Guenther) Nelson, Betty Lou (Guenther) Helms, Norbert Guenther, and Norman Guenther.

Honoring Carol’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan.
