Passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. Age 68 years.

Carlos was born on August 18, 1951, son of the late Felix and Carmen (Gomez) Garcia, in Saginaw. He married Gloria Luna on April 3, 1969. They recently celebrated 51 years of marriage along with raising four beautiful daughters. She survives him. Carlos loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption. His favorite place to visit was San Antonio, Texas for Fiesta. He loved listening to Tejano music, watching sports, and the great outdoors.

Carlos is survived by his wife, Gloria Garcia; four daughters, Regina (Marcos) Yrlas, Erma Martinez, Carla Garcia, Victoria (Eric) Echeverria; siblings, Sally Garcia, Janie (Oscar) Gomez, Lucy Grunwell, Lydia (John) Luna, Martin (Elizabeth) Garcia, Ruben Garcia, and Theresa (Cruz) Chingman; eleven grandchildren; Cece, Venessa, Ashley, Vincent, Julia, Cierra, Julian, Angel, Angelina, Valecia, Eric Jr.; thirteen great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by two brothers; Felix Garcia II and Umberto Garcia, his sister, Rosie Martinez and son-in-law, Vincent Martinez.

Our beloved husband, father, and Papi will be forever missed.

Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption, 615 Hoyt Avenue. Fr. Prentice Tipton will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 7:00 p.m., at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road and on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
