Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at her home, with her family at her side; at the age of 87 years.

The daughter of the late Carlton and Elsa (Searight) Stemple, Carla was born on March 29, 1934 in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Saginaw High School with the class of 1952. Carla married her high school sweetheart, Ronald D. Bonner, on June 7, 1952, in Saginaw, Michigan; he preceded her in death on July 13, 2009. She was devoted to her faith. Carla enjoyed traveling, spending time at the cottage at Burt Lake, going to Florida to visit her daughter during the winter months. She devoted her life to be a loving mother and caring for her family.

Surviving are her children and their spouses: Ronald Bonner, Traverse City; Cheryl Garvie, Estero, FL; Lynette and Dale Bradfield; Cynthia and Mark O'Brien all of Saginaw; four grandchildren: Heather and Joshua Duby; Ryan and Caitie Bradfield; Amanda and Brandon Gubbins; Jason O'Brien; eight great grandchildren: Kayla, Isabella and Ryker Duby; Adiliegh and Grayson Bradfield; Aidan, Alex and Tristen Gubbins; brother: Ronald and Vickie Stemple. Also surviving are many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Carla was preceded in death by her sister: Joan and Dan Jarabek; her son-in-law: Les Garvie.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Heartland Hospice for the kind and compassionate care of Carla.

The funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2021, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw. Rev. Michael O'Brien will officiate entombment to follow at Chapel Hill Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral chapel.
