Loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend passed away Wednesday January 21, 2026, at the age of 87 years. Carl was born November 28, 1938, in Saginaw County, the son of the late Leonard and Adeline (Beyersdorf) Neuenfeldt. He married Retha L. Crosby February 19, 1960, and Retha survives him. He was a member of St Peter Lutheran Church in Hemlock, and former member of Zion Lutheran Church. He retired from HSC following many years of devoted service. Most of all Carl enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving besides his wife Retha are their three sons, Carl (Anne) Neuenfeldt II, Tom (Jan) Neuenfeldt and Greg Neuenfeldt; nine grandchildren Ryan (Amy) Hyatt, Allison (Terry) Savage, Ben Hyatt, Kelsey (Mitch) Poscal, Carl (Stephanie) Neuenfeldt III, Sidney (Josh) Trott, Ash Neuenfeldt, TJ Neuenfeldt and Abe (Claire) Ritz; 22 great-grandchildren; a son-in-law Charlie Hyatt.
Carl was predeceased by his daughter Tammy Hyatt; a sister and brother-in-law Karen (Don) Seeburger.
Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday January 26, 2026, at St Peter Lutheran Church 2461 N. Raucholz Rd. Hemlock. Rev Michael Speckhard will officiate with burial to follow in Richland Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors 201 N. Miller Rd. on Sunday from 1:00p.m. until 5:00p.m. and then at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
