Carl Raymond Castanier, age 57, of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away suddenly on June 18, 2026. Carl was born in Saginaw on September 16, 1968, to Ernie Castanier Jr. and Judy (Eggert) Castanier.

Carl was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School, class of 1985. He furthered his studies at Delta College, where he received an Associates of Mechanical Engineering Degree. He worked for Nexteer in Saginaw for 30 years. He enjoyed working on cars or anything mechanical. He was a “master chef” and enjoyed preparing 5-Star meals for his family and friends. He was kind and generous and would help anyone in need. He had a big heart and rescued and fed many kittens. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and adored his nephew.

Carl preceded in death by his beloved wife Marge (Sanders) Castanier; and his father Ernie Castanier Jr.

Carl is survived by his mother, Judy Castanier; sister, Jennifer (Mike) Errante; nephew, Jack Errante; aunt and uncle, Marcia and Stephen Hanson; his good friend, Alan Wolfgang; and numerous other dear friends.

In honor of Carl’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held later.
